Attendance Allowance Experience

Hi. I’m asking on behalf of someone. Does anyone know how long the wait is for Attendance Allowance decision? Do you have an assessment?
Thankyou.0 -
Hi @Leigh14, just so you know, this is quite an old thread so you may not get a reply as some of the original posters might have moved on. I know sometimes the dates don't display properly, so don't worry about it too much
Some people need assessments for attendance allowance, and others don't. The government website says it's usually only if it's unclear how your illness or disability affects you.
As for how long the wait is, I'm not too sure about that one. One source I found stated 30-40 days as a rough figure, although it may not be accurate. There is an Attendance Allowance helpline that you can ring to check the progress of the claim, so it might be worth ringing if they've been waiting a while. I think like most benefits it can vary quite a lot, but I hope some of our other members might be able to share how long theirs took.0 -
Thankyou @Rosie_Scope0
