Hello everyone, first time to join the community and post in this group. I am applying for mandatory reconsideration for my child’s PIP. He is in the spectrum, has EHCP and is on the middle rate , I am looking for support websites that assist without too much jargon and abbreviations to help me understand how to organise my thoughts when I complete the form.thanks

Hi,Please can you confirm if this is definitely a PIP claim because you mention "middle rate" there's no middle rate to PIP, it's Standard or Enhanced only. It will only be PIP if your child is 16 or over.0

Hello @Bluecat and welcome to the community. I love your profile picture Filling out these applications can feel confusing and overwhelming, and I know you're not the only one who feels this way.
To help our members advise you I've moved this post over into our PIP, DLA and AA category.
Can I ask, when you say "middle rate" do you mean that's what your son was on for his Disability Living Allowance?
You've mentioned websites to help, but if you did what to run through things over the phone, you can contact the Scope Helpline:Phone: 0808 800 3333.
Textphone: dial 18001 then 0808 800 3333.
Calls are free from UK landlines and mobiles.
It's open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 6pm. And most bank holidays.
Citizens Advice has some guidance on how to fill out your PIP form, it explains each question one by one. It also explains what to do if you need more help filling out the form.
I hope all this makes sense, let me know if you are still unsure about anything
