Even if you think it's nothing @Geegeenumber1 it might be worth having a chat with your mum about things.

I'm sure you wouldn't use the word scammer unless there was a good reason to- flagging any concerns you have to people trained to help and support victims of scams is something I'd encourage you to do, if you feel comfortable.

Action Fraud is another organisation worth having a look at, especially if the relationship started online.
I'm encouraging state of the world

I'm not quite sure what you mean here, would mind explaining it for me?

Hi well he asked her to pay foe a Google phone card he says he's based in LA but I suspect he's lying they've never video called and his photos look fake like model photography shots I've had a similar scenario where a poor African scammer tried to get me to buy him amazon gift cards and was using a Hollywood actors photos I found out by doing a Google photo search

It's not that I don't believe he's a scammer it's just I'm not sure we need advice I'm sure he's a scammer and I'm pretty sure mum just wants to shut her eyes to the truth it's sad but she's lonely and I can't force her to listen only be there for her and try my best to protect her

I had the same I play them at their own game as long as your mum doesn't send any money or anything they will get fed up in end

I was asked to send money to pay Internet bill in hotel I said I would settle it with hotel if he gave me hotel details I would contact them also sent him false I tunes code

You can catch them out quite easily but some do this for a living and are very good

    yes @janer they are

mums very love sick and doesnt want to admit the truth but to be honest its clear she knows deep down hes a fake but doesnt want to admit it i do worry because we have a joint bank account and i have a lot of savings and i worry that one drunken night she might give in and give him the 90 dollars on her card then hes got her details and mine ,,,,i might change my savings account id hate to think shed do it but billions before her have done and i wouldnt call any of these women stupid, its mad what people do for 'love'

but yeah hes fake alrigt if you ask me
    #
shes looking at her texts all day every day

today he sent her a bowl of strawberries saying thats what he was eating and a pic of him in the gym but was just a muscly body in the gym i said ok so if hes doing that in the gym i said ok so tell him to show you himself eating the strawberry now and winking or giving a thumbs up sign as he eats or doing a bench press right now and he dissapeared

of course he didnt answer and went silent

hes talking complete bs and she has admitted in between tears that she loves his words even if they are lies and wonders why would anyone go to all the trouble of lying so much just to get money as money means nothing to her before this she fell for a vagrant man who used to beg in the streets he died and she never learned how he died he was my neigbour she never found out why he died and still obsesses over him,,,, she gets like this over men,... its so hard to watch, i used to get like this overf men but i dont experience emotions anymore im not sure which is worse tbh

@Geegeenumber1 red flags are not video calling,  pics that are too good to be true, probable a stock photo you  can buy off the Internet. They play on people's loneliness. Alot fall for it, they say the things you want to hear.

yeah he is saying he wants to speak face to face but needs money to talk face to face on the phone ha ha like you need a special card to speak on video call in LA! LA???

When I can video call people in obscurest parts of Africa??

She is going crazy now because shes left her charger in my flat in London and cant charge her phone and her last messages have been ignored

She is questioning how any man can be so insensitive Im saying she should count herself lucky shes not given any money or her body yet!

Its awful to watch .... if only she could find someone nice and realise what a waste of space this guy is if he even exists as she thinks he does

I feel grateful to be single with my pathetic crush !

    How do they communicate ?

Do a bit of research about where he reckons he lives and ask him what local restaurants and bars he goes to he might do his own research

But lots of other ways to catch him out

As I said this is how they make a living lots programme on TV get her to watch catfish on mtv

We don't get mtv is it available to watch free anyhow. I've seen episodes before tho to be honest she never wants to confront anything like that. Haha he gave her an 'address' in LA which think was like a hostel. Only place he ever says he goes is the gym

@Geegeenumber1 – Oh no, sounds like a nightmare. What did you end up having at Spoons? Creamy cheesy pasta with chicken sounds lovely. I am really pleased to hear two of the removal men were lovely. Though, it sounds really difficult that you had one removal man who was a right nasty piece of work. Would you like to tell us more about that or are you simply glad it is over now? We are here for you regardless and I hope things only start to look up for you from here on  :)

Also, I wasn't hungry this morning so didn't have breakfast. Sausages and chips for lunch today!
