I'm married and have 3 grown up children. I have disc- degeneration of the spine, spondylitis in the neck, carpool tunnel in both hands and arthritis through out all my joints. I am in pain 24/7 an I can't walk very far due to getting sever pain in fact as soon as I start walking, but there is no point being grumpy about it, so I just get on with it as I always think there are people worst off then me. I also have mental problems. Well that's a little bit about me

Hello gothchick  :). A friendly welcome to you!

I am new to the community myself. Also, I have Chronic Pain, so I can put myself in your shoes.

How are you? You may want to have a look at this resource about Chronic Pain: https://painconcern.org.uk/airing-pain-130-pain-management-programmes-the-health-unlocked-forum/

Thanks for sharing some information about yourself @gothchick :) Cool username!

I'm sorry to hear about the pain you've been experiencing. That must be difficult to handle at times. Are you receiving enough support to help you manage those conditions, both in terms of your pain levels as well as managing daily life?

I'm also sorry to hear that you've been experiencing other kinds of problems. Am I right in thinking that you've been struggling with your mental health? Would you be comfortable telling us a little more about that?

Many people on the community experience chronic pain and mental ill health, so you've come to the right place! You can find some of them in the chronic pain and pain management, and mental health and wellbeing, categories :)

Hello @gothchick - & welcome to the community from me also. Thank you for sharing about yourself. You have a very positive attitude, yet pain can be difficult to deal with.  May I mention some other resources here: https://ppa.csp.org.uk/content/links-people-living-pain
I'm a long-retired physio now living with chronic pain too.
