Being on pip atm, I am wondering if the UC appointments for work review are still necessary. With restrictions lifted, cases rising, having bd, its all dead stressing

Is there a way i can request telephone appointments?

Hi and welcome to the community

Pip and uc are completely different benefits and getting pip doesn't change your uc status so you are considered a job seeker and need to comply with your work commitments

You can request phone appointments but it is at your work coach discretion if they allow this

Have you reported your medical condition on your claim and provided fit notes to start the work capability process?

If not you should as once assessed you maybe be found as lcw ( limited capability to work ) or lcwra either of these will mean you don't have any work commitments and the higher award of lcwra has an additional payment of £343 in your uc payment

I see. I haven't been in for a while but am in the process of moving to another authority closer to family so its hard.

I guess I need to start the lcr process, anyone know the process or what I can expect?

As janer has advised, you will need to speak to your GP for a fit note first and then "report a change of circumstances" and report your health condition on your journal.
If found to have LCW there are usually work commiments to attend appointments. LCWRA there's no work commiments.
Once you're referred for the work capabilty assessment you'll be sent the UC50 form to fill in and return with all your evidence. You will then eventually be asked to attend a work capability assesment. All information is in the link provided.
