Hi everyone,
Am new here on this forum and to UC. I wanted to ask if we could apply for UC when me and my wife are working both earning 18,240 and 14,592 respectively before tax?

I am German citizen living in UK with pre-settled status and my wife has the same status and is Pakistani. Does this matter when applying?
Also are there any downsides to getting UC when you apply for your house mortgage or any other thing?
Many thanks

In any case I don't think presettled status gives you access to UC. Whether you are eligible would depend on how long you have been in the UK.
