Hi I am new to this site and I am in desperate need of help in filling the certain forms and sending emails to certain organisations. I have tried the CAB but they have said they can't help. Time is against me and this is having a major affect on my mental health.

Hi @Hopeless60 - & welcome to the community. If you say which forms you need help in completing, we have members who may be able to help.

Hi,
Which forms are you talking about please?0 -
Hi @Hopeless60 .......... I am absolutely sure you are not hopeless at all. If you are able to tell us what forms and emails you are struggling with then I am sure one of my colleagues may point you in the right direction.
Try not stress too much. You are in good company here. Have a look around the different categories while you are here; you might find some reassurance that you really ARE NOT hopeless.0 -
Hi @Hopeless60
We'll certainly be able to support you as much as we can once we know what forms are causing you trouble, what's the bit you're finding most difficult at the moment?
If you feel like talking things through with someone will be helpful, then I'd encourage you to give the Scope Helpline a call on 0808 800 3333. Calls are free from UK landlines and mobiles, and the helpline is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 6pm.
Please do reach out, and we'll be here to support you

They are things to do with social services, as in it's complicated and I can't really explain. Basically I believe I have been failed by social services with regards to a child care case and because my issues are against social services I am being told either certain organisations can't help and that I need specialist help via a solicitor which I can't afford. Sorry if I am not making much sense, as I said it's complicated and confusing for me and it's because nobody is willing to help or support me my mental health is out of control.0

One suggestion I would make is to try & find an advocate to help you with this. Please see: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/help-from-social-services-and-charities/someone-to-speak-up-for-you-advocate/I do remember one of our members getting a lot of help from VoiceAbility, tho unfortunately they're not in all areas.0

Thanks for explaining @Hopeless60 that is very helpful to know. I wonder if the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman can help?
I'm so sorry to hear about the impact this is having on your mental health, do you have any support from your GP, or any specialists at the moment?
It's okay if it's too hard to explain on here- I'm going to be emailing you on community@scope.org.uk as we'd like to support you as much as we can, so you can always talk to us privately.
Let us know if you feel we can support you further, or if we've missed anything, and I'll be in touch shortly.
