Over last few years my disability has developed to the point that I’m now housebound except for when family take me out using my wheelchair.  I have very good family and are grateful for that, but feel very alone.  I dread waking each morning, my life seems to consist of pain and pills.  I feel life is passing me by. I’m hoping through this group to be able to make new online friends.

Welcome to Scope, have a look at the Coffee Lounge which is great to chat to new people.

    All the best.

Wishing you a warm welcome to the community.

It's lovely to see you join us, as I hope you have already seen this is a very supportive and welcoming place so I'm sure you'll enjoy getting involved. If you ever have any questions about the community then feel free to ask.

I'm sorry to hear about how you're feeling at the moment, you seem to be feeling quite isolated and finding it hard to cope, so I hope that being a part of this site can help with that and act as a positive outlet for you.

Do you have any kind of care in place to support with daily tasks and mobility? Have you ever had a needs assessment through your local authority?

Your mental health is very important, so if you do ever feel as though it is something you need support with then don't hesitate to contact your GP to talk with them about it, and they would be able to support you.
