    Just to check. Has your wife claimed the carer element as part of the UC claim?

    Note that if you were born before 25th September 1956 you will be eligible for the Winter Fuel payment which this year will be £500. This should be paid automatically in November or December. This is in addition to the £400 credit you will get on your electricity bill administered by your fuel supplier.
