Hi, as I understand it, you don't get the benefit till the fourth month after providing evidence.
It is stated the benefit can be backdated to first fit note.
My question.
The providing evidence, is this when asked to do so?
Or could this be from the first fit note sent in.
To clarify my situation.
Have been sending in fit notes for over 1 year, started getting pip 6 months ago, 2 months ago got sent the forms for LCWRA and just been awarded but not as yet received any benefit.
So is it taken from providing evidence for the LCWRA forms?
Thanks for your time.

Hi @stevie66. Thanks for your post. What a great question as well!
Unfortunately, LCWRA is not an area of my expertise. This means I can only hope someone with more knowledge in this area will be able to respond to you soon.
In the meantime, I just want to say we hear you and are here for you

The waiting period starts from when you reported your health condition, providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of this. You must have continued to send in fit notes without any gaps until a decision was made on your WCA.It's 3 full assessment periods and the extra money is paid from the 4th month. When it's paid from will depend on what date you reported your health condition and the dates of your assessment periods (or when you usually receive payment each month)0

Thanks for your answers.
Looks like I should get back pay on this then. 🤔0 -

If you haven't had anything by the end of the week post a query on your UC journal as a payment query.0

It's not unusal for it to take a few weeks. When you put a message on your journal did you put it under the payment section? If you didn't then you should do that.

Very interesting reading about this LCWRA payment, Poppy is helping me with it, but it's the first I've heard of it, who should have told me about it. I've been signed of work since Aug 22, just recently gone into the support group, but no one has mentioned the above to me at all.
Can anyone tell me please.
Many thanks0 -
Hi @Breacon
I'll try with my basic understanding of the benefit.
Well normally after 3 or 4 months of putting in what use to be called sick notes you should have automatically been sent assessment forms, or so I belive. Any way there are two groups lcwra where you are not expected to look for work and lcw when your still expected to do limmited work thus continue to look for work.
I'm not sure if the payments are diffrent as I've only had lcwra and that's about £330 per month.
The best thing to do is send copies of the paperwork of anything you have from NHS and doctors appointments, hospital appointments any assessments back with the assessment form.
You may have an assessment in person and or a phone call from them.
They were realy good when I when myself and on that day just happened I was having a really bad day I thing due to the stress of it all. But the were very helpful.
Hope that helps1 -

Breacon has already been through the WCA and was placed into the Support Group for ESA. Advice is already being given here on this thread regarding their UC claim. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/91454/lcwra-and-council-tax-benefit#latest
