Hi,
I've recently had a Pip supercession face to face assessment. Does anybody know, if my application is successful this time around, round Pip be back-dated from when I originally applied, or just from the time that the application for a supercession was submitted?
My original application (which was when I was being transitioned from lifetime DLA award to pip) was rejected in 2019.
I applied again for a supersession in June 2021.
If it was awarded, would it be back pad from 2019 (when DLA ended and pip application rejected, or just from June 2021when the supercessiion application when in in June?
Thanks in advance for any advice

i’m not clear what you mean by applied for a supersession. If the claim was refused in 2019 and you applied again in June 2021 you were simply making a new claim.
Any new award will not apply from your original claim date, it will apply from June 2021.

I remember your previous threads and you took your previous decision of refusal to Tribunal and were awarded mobility part, no daily living. This means that because you reported a change, if you're successfully awarded and it's higher then it will be backdated to the date you reported the change in June 2021.0

Indeed, the Tribunal part was missed out. Thread here confirms mobility awarded by Tribunal. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/82635/early-review-for-pip-just-sharing-to-help-alleviate-stress#latest

Hi, thanks for replies. No, the Mobility part wasnt awarded by Tribunal. That had already been awarded. It was the daily living component that had been appealed and rejected. However, Im guessing the answer is still the same. Thanks again0

Yes, the answer is still the same, paid from June 2021. Good luck with your claim!1
