It would have been someone from Royal Mail sorting office that signed it and not someone from DWP. It doesn't mean it's arrived with DWP. It often takes a couple of weeks to be added to the system and until this has happened it's not classed as arriving. This is one of the reasons why signed for delivery is a waste of money.

It was guaranteed delivery to the address by 1pm! not to the post office! I appreciate that the DWP might not get to process it for a few weeks but I am worried that the person has just put a signature on and saved going to the delivery address!

Hello there @erm thanks for posting :)

The signature was being back to front was probably just because they must have an awful lot of post to sign for, so it was probably done quite quickly. I shouldn't worry no, the forms are well on their way to the DWP now.

Sometimes when we're waiting for something, it can be helpful to focus on other things to help the time pass. Do you have anything you really enjoy doing, or which helps you feel relaxed? Or someone you really enjoy spending time with?

If you need anything in the meantime please let us know, and hopefully you can keep us up to date as and when you hear more.

    Alex

It wouldn't be sent to any post office. All mail going to DWP is first sent to Royal mail sorting office in bulk. This is then distributed to DWP and then added to the system. You special delivery was guaranteed to arrive at the sorting office but not with DWP.
