PIP Face to face assessment questiom

HI, a couple of questions, please. After having a f2f assessment, do you get a letter of sms from DWP to tell you they have all the info (from the HA) ? If so, how long should you reasonably wait to get that confirmation that they've received the HA report?
Next question is, if the HA supports the application for a person to receive Pip, what are the chances of DWP overruling the IAS recommendations?
Since I re-applied for PIP this time, it has taken almost a year just to get the appointment for the F2F. Its coming into the 2nd week since the IAS assessment and Ive not had any text or letters.
Thinking about it, I didn't receive any notice from DWP to even acknowledge they had received my form (applying for the supercession), so I am a tad anxious as even with the pandemic and backlogs, mine does seem to be taking an extraordinarily long time.
I know it isn't to do with gathering evidence, as they already had a mountain of medical evidence and have received the additional evidence to support a change in circumstance due to a worsening condition when I submitted the new form a year ago.
I'm worried about having to get in touch with them over these delays as it never received well, but at the same time, it's becoming increasingly harder to just survive (ie buy food, put credit on the utility meter, etc).
The HA told me should be emailing her report either that same evening or the next day; I've no reason to disbelieve her as she did seem genuinely shocked with my situation and was suprisingly compassionate and 'human' (thank god!) She also didnt understand why it had taken almost a year just to get a F2F appt. (The guidelines say approx 20 weeks from applying, to get a decision - give or take.
From posts I've read of other people', they seem to get the confirmation SMS from DWP relatively quickly after their assessment. How much more time would be reasonable to wait before I enquire as to what's going on do you think?
Thanks again in advance

Hi there
In most cases you get a text to say dwp have your report but sometimes gets missed also you don't always get one when they get your forms
Did you give them your mobile number on the form and write it correctly
s for length time waiting for assessments that will be because you required f2f and they completely stopped during covid and have really only just started up again with majority still being phone assessments
The estimated wait time for a decision is 2 to 12 weeks
Of you are concerned they have not had your report you could give them a call
It maybe that your report has been randomly selected for audit which delays it getting to dwp . The audit is to check the assessor quality of reporting and not a check on your claim0 -
If it's in audit there's no timescales how long it will remain there for. I've known a report be in audit for 6 weeks.I would think the reason why your claim has taken longer is because they gave priority to new claims, rather than reviews or change of circumstances.I've not known them send a text saying they have all the info, this is usually by letter. However, in my opinion, it's rather a pointless letter because a decision can still take anywhere up to 12 weeks after the letter. In my experience they do mostly go with the report but it has been known for them to go against it.1

The assessor told me when she first started the job, Almost all of her reports were audited but seldom are now so I'm hoping there's no more delays.
It's been about 3 years now since I was transitioned from lifetime DLA and it doesn't get easier.
I didn't request a f2f but DWP must've thought it necessary.. My last pip assessment was a home assessment, (pre-pandemic).
It'd be a little reassuring if I did get an sms but I suppose that's down to DWP..
The HA said even she doesn't learn the outcome of a person's application unless it goes to appeal.
Has anybody ever had the F2F and then been awarded pretty quickly? I heard some people say they had money in their account before they rven got the notification?
I can't even begin to imagine how amazing that would feel?0 -
It doesn't matter what type of assessment a claimant has had to the timescales
Once the assessment report is returned to dwp the process is the same a decision maker will look at all the evidence to make a decision
They will have a big pile to work through as their case load is huge
Most people if it's a new claim get backpay before they get decision letter as they are released at same time and bank transfer is quicker than post0 -

When the DM makes a decision, which can be up to 12 weeks after the assessment, then it is true that the money (if any) usually arrives before the decision letter0 -

Most people have assessments which can be either face to face at an assessment centre, telephone or video call. Paper based assessments are rare. Home assessments haven't started back yet, if they ever will.

Had my HA April 26 ( applied for Pip June 2nd 2021)
Got a call from HCP about 3/4 weeks later saying DWP wanted more info. May 26 got a SMS from DWP saying they have all the info and they will make a decision; saying it can take up to 8 weeks.
Still awaiting a decision and its driving me crazy. Its so so stressful waiting and waiting and not having a clue as to whether the decision will be favourable or not this time.
All in all its been over 13 months from the time I applied for Pip.
I understand there's a backlog etc but I know people who applied well after I did, and who received a decision and their backpack months ago, people who live in the live in the same town as I do.
Just don't understand why it's taking so long to get a decision or any updates as to where I stand.
Support worker phoned a couple of weeks ago and was told 'just keep waiting'.
Is anybody else experiencing such lengthy delays?0 -
You said you applied last June. Didn’t you already have a PIP award in place? If you did then it would have been a change of circumstances. At the moment new claims are their priority. They always tell people 8 weeks for a decision after the assessment but it can be up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer.0
