Why has my payment date been delayed from 04 June (decision date + 1 month) to 08 June ?
I thought that the first payment was made a month after the decision date ?0

PIP is paid 4 weekly in arrears. If it starts from 8th June then your first payment will be for 3 weeks money. Future payments will be for 4 weeks money. When transferring from DLA PIP starts once DLA ends. You should receive a final DLA payment.

I am trying to find out why my PIP does not start until 08 June - when the letter telling me that my claim was sucessful is dated 04 May - should my first payment not be 04 June ?

It will depend when your DLA
ends.0 -
I think the question of how PIP payment start dates are calculated when transferring from DLA was thoroughly thrashed out in a previous thread with this OP and the advice given was that the first Pip payment date would be 7 or 8 weeks after the PIP decision. That advise was, as I recall, not accepted by OP. Unfortunately i can't find the thread.
The dates bear out the advice previously given.
(Apologies to OP if I have mixed them up with somebody else.)0 -

Here's the previous thread
https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/88674/question-regarding-pip-application/p1
See my previous advice in that threadSee DWP guidanceSo the decision was made on 8th May. You DLA stops on the DLA payment date after the decision is made which will presumably be 7th June. Your PIP starts the day after on 8th June.

P5062 When an assessment determination is made by the DM on a claim by a transfer claimant
the DM will, as soon as is practicable, send the claimant written notification of the outcome decision and
DLA will be terminated, on the last day of the period of 28 days starting with the first pay day after the making of the determination.
P5063 When the outcome decision is an award of either or both PIP components, the claimant’s entitlement to PIP will begin
from the day immediately following the day the claimant’s entitlement to DLA terminates or
immediately following the last day of the period of 28 days as calculated in P5035 starting with the first pay day after making the determination.
Note added at request of calcotti: Advice in concluding paragraph of this post is incorrect. See next post by calcotti for correction.

Wibbles said: No - the decision was made on 04May - as per the letter!
Reading my post again however, the statement "Your DLA stops on the DLA payment date after the decision is made " was incorrect. Should have said (as per previous thread) "DLA stops 28 days from your next DLA payment date after the decision".
I infer therefore that your next DLA payment date is 11th May. DLA therefore ends on 7th June. PIP therefore starts on 8th June.0 -
In your previous thread linked above you didn't believe the advice you were given that PIP starts several weeks after the decision is made. This is proof right here that the advice was indeed correct.

Do I detect JEALOUSY in these responses?
Why?0 -
I'm not sure why you would think anyone can be jealous here. We're simply answering the questions you ask.
