I've just joined. I finally had my lcwra telephone assessment on Saturday after waiting since the end of November when my assessment form was sent in to them. It was really stressful and an hour and 10 minutes phone call after waiting 3 hours between 9 & 12 and them finally phone at five to 12. Felt really ill by the time they'd finished interrogating me. After all these months of waiting (I gave in my first sick note in mid September) Im anxious they don't award me it anyway. Does anyone know how long they will take to let me know if Ive got it or not please ? Have they cleared the Covid backlog?
Thanks 😊
Thanks 😊

Decision timescales are anything up to 12 weeks. However when claiming UC WCA decisions are often made quite quickly. Some have a decision within a week after the assessment. Once the decision is made you'll receive a letter onto your journal.

Good luck and fingers crossed, when I had mine it was over an hour long and omg was the worst hour. I was so drained after it.Mine took over 2 weeks and had backpay in my bank before I got the letter .0

Thank you. No Ive not heard anything yet. My Work Coach when she phoned on Tues said it could take anything up to 8 weeks to hear back. She was really negative saying I probably won't get lcwra because of various truthful answers I gave. Im really stressed about it all as been on Universal credit since last April and given in sicknotes since September. My current sicknote runs out at the end of May and she reckons Universal Credit can ignore/over ride future ones and tell me to look 35 hrs a week for a full time job.0

@Silvano hi there
Once a decision is made on you'd assessment dwp will no longer accept fit notes
If If the decision is you are found fit for work and not lcw or lcwra then yes you will be required to look for work
Fingers crossed that isn't the decision0
