If the report has been written and returned to DWP then he will have had a paper based assessment.Decision timescales are anything up to 12 weeks.1

Indeed it is but you mentioned being unable to walk up the stairs, which isn't considered in any of the PIP descriptors.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria#mobility-activitiesThis activity should be judged in relation to a type of surface normally expected out of doors, such as pavements on the flat and includes the consideration of kerbs.2 -

Hi there @lynnie61 and welcome to the community, thank you for reaching out this morning I'm sorry you've had a difficult experience with your previous PIP application, it's certainly not an easy process.
In terms of support I can encourage you to contact the Scope Helpline, you can run through things with one of our advisers over the phone or by email if you prefer.
Turn2Us also has a 'Find an adviser' tool you can search if you like, and there's AdviceLocal too.
Can I ask if you feel like you've got enough support with everything day to day at the moment?
If you have any questions about filling out the review form, then you are welcome to ask here on the community too, and we'll support you as best we can1 -
You shouldn't have to pay anyone for helping you fill out the forms. There's advice agencies out there that will help you for free. Did you use the link i posted above?lynnie61 said:I've found someone to fill it out for £120
