Adding info after pip assessment

I had my phone pip assessment a week ago. It was very short (18 mins) and the assessor didn’t ask me all the questions I thought he should. Anyway lol yesterday I had my first appointment with the community neurological rehabilitation team and had an assessment by them where they’ve suggested a treatment plan etc and for occupational therapist to visit be at home. My physio there suggested I apply for pip and I told her I have. Should I ring up pip and give them these details and contact numbers etc. can I add info once an assessment has been done? And fo I ring pip enquiries or capita? Thanks

If you have a letter from this appointment yesterday with details of what's planned then you can send that if you think it will help.
Your assessment report may have already been returned to DWP so sending it to Capita may not help. I'd advise to send it to DWP but you need to make sure you send it to the correct address, if you don't know what that is then you'll need to ring them to ask because all areas are different.

Thanks. I do have a treatment plan on paper so I’m just on the phone now waiting to get through for the address to send it to. Thank you

Hello there @bexter73 well done for getting through your PIP assessment, and I'm glad to hear you've got treatment plans in the works as well!

Keep us updated with how everything goes, and I wish you all the best for a positive outcome. If there's anything else we can help with in the meantime let us know :)

Thank you @Alex_Scope I’d geared myself up for a difficult and long assessment and ended up it being very short. There were a lot of questions he didn’t ask like do I need help feeding myself, socialising, planning journey etc. it’s left me a bit worried to be honest. I have some speech issues and I think he may have felt I was struggling. But I did record the assessment so I can use it if I’m refused etc

I know it's difficult @bexter73 but I don't think there's any need to worry. In the assessment, the assessor will ask any questions they feel they need for clarification over, or more information about.

This probably means the one's he didn't ask about, are ones he felt he had enough information on already from your application.

We'll be here to support you whatever the outcome, and you've done everything you need to now, so one of the best things to do is to try and focus on other things to help take your mind off the wait to hear more :)

You may have already sent in enough of information so there could have been no need to ask everything. The assessment is to gather more information, if needed.

Ok thanks that’s put my mind at rest a bit. I’ve got lots to fill my mind in the next few weeks thankfully. And I start my neurological physio tomorrow after an 8 month wait so I’m looking forward to getting on with that. Thanks again

@Tori_Scope it was hard to be honest and I’m feeling quite off today. They are working on my balance. The exercises made me very nauseous but I’m told this will get better with time. Got my anti sickness bands on today lol

I'm sorry to hear that it was tough @bexter73. How are you feeling now it's a little later in the day? Fingers crossed it'll help in the long run! Did you share with the physio that you found it hard?

I’m very dizzy and sick still. The physio told me to expect that though. Fingers crossed. Thanks for asking 😁
