Hello @kirsty09
Welcome to the community, I hope you are well.
Sorry to hear that the DLA was reduced upon making the new claim, the decision letter should give details about how you can carry out a MR for the decision. Do you think you will proceed with the MR?
I have moved your discussion over to our PIP and DLA category which contains plenty of information about thosebenefits. This is a very supportive and welcoming place to be a part of so I’m sure you’ll find it to be a positive outlet, feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 A few notable pages I’d recommend visiting would be:
- The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
- The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
- The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community
If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.

My son is on report in school he is on meds he is up most off the night he has set fire to him bedroom I have to keep a eye on him most off the day as I don’t no what he will get up to next i just don’t understand how they moved him to low rate and not sure what to say over the phone to do the MR?0

If you do an mr it is best done in writing rather than over the phone
Doing it over phone you are relying on a call handler capturing what you say in the moment
Doing it in writing gives you time to think about it get all the detail right and retain a copy0
