Could text communication be considered a reasonable adjustment for Autism for UC?

Am I right that text communication would be considered a reasonable adjustment for Autism? Is there anything you can do if they say no? They say they need a phone call and then a face to face appointment to confirm identity. Then ongoing calls until work assessment done. All they have offered me is a quiet room. Having autism and ME means that pushing myself causes me to crash badly and can take weeks to recover.

Hi and welcome to the community
It is normal that you have at least one f2f to verify your identity and discuss your claim and you can't do that by text
They may allow someone to take your documents in for you bit this is rare
Your work coach can arrange the follow up appts to be done by phone but it is at their discretion again don't think text is an option
You can put in a request for reasonable adjustments and see what the outcome is
Put a note on your journal mark it as service issue and ask for the adjustments
