review form still no assessment

hi folks got my review form last august sent it back ,,had text oct to say they have received my form ect , my pip is only up untill july so still havent had assessment any advice on what i should do ,0r just wait and see outcome ,,many thanks

    There are huge backlogs in a lot of areas and they are mostly concentrating in new claims, rather than reviews. 
    Most people have assessments, even for reviews so you should expect one of those. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do other than wait.

    thank you poppy was just worried that my pip would run out before they got around to doing my assessment ,thank you so much

    It’s possible they may extend your PIP further until a decisions been made on your review. You will need to speak to PIP a few weeks before your current award ends.

    hi poppy this was an extension my award review was oct 2021 but june 2021 i got extension untill july 22 ,hopefully i will hear something soon if not i will ring pip for an update ,really appreciate you taking time to answer my query ,thank you

    Just because your current award was extended this doesn't mean they won't extend it further, it's happened before to others. They may have extended it and just not let you know because this happened to me.

    thank you woodbine and poppy i turn 65 in june so was just thinking had that got something to do with it possible not ,but thank you both for advice i will contact them around that time fingers crossed all will turn out well .

    Reaching 65 doesn't mean anything because state pension age is now 66. Although when you reach this age your PIP will continue for as long as you remain entitled to it.
