The last thing to go

With the cost of living going up and everyone having to make cut backs what’s one thing you would never give up regardless of how dire the circumstances got?

(I mean a little luxury, not something like running water)

For me it would be cheese.

Cheese is a good one, I think for me it might well be something like my Spotify subscription(!)

I listen to music a lot while working, as it helps me focus, and generally music is one of life's great pleasures, so I prefer it advert free  :D

@Alex_Scope I agree about adverts, I find they ruin the “mood” that music puts you in as they often have a totally different sound to what you were listening to so it knocks you off course if that makes any sense? Probably doesn’t!

It does make sense yes, adverts ruin the flow and the focus! :)

My brand of coffee, I've noticed it has gone up, if push came to shove tho, I might have to substitute it, but be last thing to change.

@Sandy_123 that’s an interesting one. What coffee is it? Do you get coffee beans and grind them yourself?

my cat.  I always put a $1 back if i have extra in case she needs a vet.  i buy cat food on sale and lots of it in case i cannot pay sometime.   This means I eat a lot of low cost food for myself, like rice with a vegetable chopped up in it.  my cat is my comfort and she also makes me laugh and forget pain for awhile.

I'd be interested also in people's first thing to go or what they've already had to give up

That’d be interesting for sure, I am going to make that thread now.

Coffee may be one of mine, too. I'd definitely buy a cheaper type/brand if needed, but to give it up completely would be sad. My coffees are usually one of my favourite parts of the day.

Crisps are another. Again, I just love them. Having some crisps, especially in the evening, really ends the day on a high note for me. I've noticed the prices going up, but I don't mind own brand crisps, so have been buying more of those. There just tends to be a little less variety.
