A warm welcome to the community from me too @mamaalp
It can take a while before you start to see longer lasting changes from talking therapy, so I'd encourage you to stick with it if you feel you're getting some benefit from it. As Ross has said, there are other options out there too, many of which can work in conjunction with talking therapy, so it could be worth looking into these with your GP.

I'm struggling with low moods and feeling anxious worrying. With talk therapy I think one day I'm better only for the next to feel low again. I feel like I am in a trap and can't get out

Hello @mamaalp
I wanted to wish you a warm welcome to the community.
Thank you for being so honest about how you feel, I really appreciate it. I'm sorry that the talking therapy isn't having a sustained positive impact on you, have you discussed with your GP whether any other kind of support might be more appropriate? Sometimes it can take time to figure out what works best for each person.
Is there anything in particular that is causing you to feel low and anxious?
Do ensure that you look after yourself and try to do things you enjoy in order to relax. It's important sometimes to take your mind off how you feel and have fun. Mind have an information page here about relaxing and calming exercises which I thought I'd share in case it can be of any use to you.I hope to see you getting involved more around the community. This is a very supportive and welcoming site to be a part of so I’m hopeful that you’ll find it to be a positive outlet. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 A few notable pages I’d recommend visiting would be:
- The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
- The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
- The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community
If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.
