Hello,
could anybody advice me what to do in this situation?
could anybody advice me what to do in this situation?
I was receiving carers allowance as my my son in in receipt of pip and before that DLA. He’s 17 now so I decided to take a job that pays NMW for 37 hours a week. I informed carers allowance and they said they would get back to me. I’ve not heard from them yet.
unfortunately, the job turned out to be too stressful for me (had a stroke 2 years ago) and I was tired and overwhelmed. My son also was affected as family members had to take over school drops and other care responsibilities. I did 2 weeks on the job and 1 day and I had to leave. I feel such a failure 😞
Would it be possible for me to reinstate carers allowance? Should I call them and tell them I’m not working now or will they insist I get another job? I plan to do part time work in the future. The company said they would pay me for the time worked but don’t know if it will be this month.

Thank you, nobody else claims for him so I’ll wait until I receive the final wage.
