Just after the report from Gray. Oooo reflection tactics.

Fingers crossed. Martin Lewis said something on TV earlier this week, my personal opinion is uprating all benefits including DLA and PIP although they’d argue it’s a logistical issue. Let’s see what happens…

    Reflection?
Yes, to reflect us from what is happening with the Gray report.

Definitely feels like deflection following the report coming out, and I really don't like that these huge decisions to support people are being treated so tactically in terms of their timing. Even so, more support will be most welcome.

The only problem with it going to everyone and not means tested in some way is that the very wealthy will also get it as well rather than it being targeted at those who really need it

:D Yes I thought that might be the case. No worries though, I'm sure we all still knew what you meant :)

I see they have announced it.

Have they actually specified who is classed as a low income household?

There is guidance on gov.uk however it’s very basic and says DWP will make further announcements shortly. Good to see this time they’ve included people on disability benefits with £150, he has announced more than I thought. Hopefully more details will follow though to help people know who’s entitled to what.
My friend receives Carer’s Allowance and Universal Credit as a single person but is unsure if he will get anything because he lives with his dad who gets UC and it was specifically announced as household. Let’s see.

@SueHeath Yes, pip is a disability benefit.
bbc ‘Those on disability benefits will receive £150 in September’
that’s in addition to any other payments.

Your missing the point though, they potentially could of finalised their plans over the last several weeks if they wanted to.

Will the £150 disability payment be paid through my PIP payment? Anyone know?

No further announcement have been made as to how it will be paid. Though i would expect it to be as a separate payment, rather than in with a PIP payment.
