Good to see this time they’ve included people on disability benefits with £150, he has announced more than I thought. Hopefully more details will follow though to help people know who’s entitled to what.My friend receives Carer’s Allowance and Universal Credit as a single person but is unsure if he will get anything because he lives with his dad who gets UC and it was specifically announced as household. Let’s see.
LCWRA is part of UC, those that claim UC are one of those that will receive the £650, in 2 separate payments. Information regarding this is in the link i posted on page 1.

Thanks Poppy123456. If he £150 payment does not , eventually come with PIP payments, which government department do you think will pay it? For my disabilities PIP is the only route through which I receive disability payments which are an enormous help to me.0

Information regarding this is in the link i posted on page 1.LCWRA is not a disability benefit. A disability benefit is PIP/DLA or AA. IN the link i posted it also says...Those on disability benefits will receive £150 in September, which may be on top of the £650 payment. So it's not yet confirmed that the £150 extra will be paid to those claiming disability benefit. You can read it here, if you didn't see my previous comment. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61592496

There is a lot more information here on the Gov website

Thanks for that. This confirms that the extra £150 for those claiming qualifying disability benefits such as PIP/DLA/AA will receive this ontop of the £650 (for those claiming certain means tested benefits)

Thanks for sharing. It also clears up the energy bit too as I have a few family members that still top up for their energy and that link states if that’s the case they will get their £400 via voucher.0
-
I'm very grateful for the extra support and more than I expected and by no means moaning
But interesting to note that the disabled get the lowest level of support at £150 compared to pensioners at £300 and means tested benefits at £650
I know there are some disabled that will get both elements but those just on disability will only get the lower amount
Just expressing my opinion don't shout at me4 -
I suppose it’s a balancing act when it comes to combing who might get what.Did anyone watch the online live Q&A with Martin Lewis and the chancellor at 5.30pm? Was interesting.0
-
I’m not Martins biggest fan but the questions put to him were from individuals and organisations so was interesting to hear the responses.0
-
I may be wrong if someone can clarify a single person who lives with family and has in essence no housing cost or energy bill and claims uc will get the £650 ,(family members don't claim any benefits) so they are only person in household claiming benefits ?
Have I got this right

@janer1967 yes they would qualify. What isn’t clear is that if multiple families members in the same household would each receive the £650 if they are all claiming one of the means tested benefits. Or whether it’s per “household “ which is what it suggests.0
-
@poppy123456 it did suggest per household but how they would monitor that with each person having a different account I don't know0
-
That’s true @janer1967. We will know more once they make further announcements with how exactly this will be paid.0
-
I suppose it is the same for the pip extra there can be multiple claimants in the same household and unlike uc where for eg a couple claim as a couple rather than individual like pip
Sure it will all come out in the next few weeks typical that the cabinet all on break now0 -
Think I heard earlier that rishi is answering questions on good morning Britain tomorrow1
