Is anyone celebrating the jubilee - and if not how are you spending the holiday period?

I'm not that fussed about the Royals and not sure I'm pro-monarchy even but any excuse for a party I'm gonna do a tea and drinks on Friday. Is anyone else making any effort to celebrate? Or is it all a fuss about nothing? I'm even buying some pimms for me mam (don't
think we have ever tried it)

I'm planning on going to a street party, but that's about it really I'm hoping the weather will be warm so that I can get some nice walks in.
Pimm's is lovely in my opinion, so enjoy!1 -

I hope you get to celebrate in some way !0 -
@Tori_Scope

Have a great time!
Not sure whats going on locally but I will do a tea with tuna and cucumber sandwiches, scones etc
Mind you I've been having scones, butter jam and cream for a while now and don't want overkill ha ha x0 -
ah thank you very much
I heard you mixed with fruit and good job i got some lemonade coming this week as bought some archers and malibu for mum too
I only wish I could buzz out on alcohol these days - tastes alright but does nothing for me
Il let you know how my drink concoctions go!1 -
Think I'm going to make a nice picnic with some homemade treats like quiche , sausage rolls , cheese and onion bread rolls and nice strawberry and cream Victoria sponge
Take it somewhere nice next to river or water or a nice park3 -
Cream tea and then a couple of rum and cokes in the garden if the weathers nice. If it pours down then I’ll drink rum in the bath 😂.0

ooooh fantastic ideas, il be doing a buffet too def some sausage rolls pate etc! but sadly they won't be homemade, ha ha
Enjoy your rum whatever the weather!

I might suggest a bbq to family, pending on weather conditions1

I`m very anti-monarchy, so I won`t be "celebrating" the jubilee. I will, however, be celebrating the company of a friend who is coming over for a few beers2

We're having a community party, but later than the Jubilee as one of my neighbours was recently elected as our new Town Mayor, & has a lot of functions to attend over the Jubilee period. We're also going to try & choose a day with decent weather!

Stuck at home on my own because my husband is in hospital0

Do you think you'd enjoy watching any of the jubilee on television @marybottomley? It looks as though there's lots planned.
I hope everyone enjoys the weekend! I'm off to a friend's hen do which is happening at the same time, so we'll be celebrating, but not specifically the jubilee0 -
sorry to hear your husband is in hospital

Pimm's is quite sweet, but I'm not sure how to describe the flavour other than that @Geegeenumber1! It's nice with some fresh mint as well as fruit, too.
I'm not sure what it'll be like in my area to be honest. I imagine there'll be something going on. The street party I'm going to is in a different area, as my friend invited me0
