    You can do this on mobile phones like iPhone and Samsung you can also use an alexa to voice activated devices

    Hello there @Alan_S and welcome :) Thanks for posting your query. To make it easier for our members to see your post and share their thoughts, I've moved it over into our Aids and Adaptions category and edited the title.

    As jane has mentioned, a good place to start might be to research voice activated devices, like some smartphones or smart speakers. 

    It might be worth testing a few things out with your mother-in-law, I don't know if it's possible to test these devices out in shops, but if you can take her with you, she can perhaps get used to how it all works?
