You can ask for a decision maker to ring you before they make a decision and they may contact you.Have you added up any potential recommended points?0

When you ring PIP you are ringing a call centre. They can't possibly predict when a decision will be made, they can only give a timescale, which is only ever a guide.

Just an update. My interviewer didn't award me any points at all 🙈. I just can't believe it x0

The assessor doesn't award points, they may recommendations only. Have you had the actual decision yet?

Decision was no hun x0

kmp said:Decision was no hun xYou can challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You should put this in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. You have 1 month from the date of the decision to request this.If you're outside the 1 month you'll need to give a reason why you didn't request within that timescale. The maximum time you have is 13 months. If the MR decision doesn't change (most don't) then you can proceed with Tribunal.1

Hi so I called pip. Just came off the phone not long ago. And explained that the assessment was not fully correct and did not go into enough detail. Scoring me low which will be a struggle for me. And they said my case was actually with the DM today. So they put a not and said send your further information. They will hand it over to them before they decide.
obviously this will delay my case but I did just post everything off now for delivery by Thursday. Hopefully it only delays it till next week as I was probably due to have my decision tomorrow or so.It’s been so stressful. But thank you all for your updates and I will continue to update. And thank you @poppy1234560 -

And thank you @poppy123456It's very unlikely they will receive what you posted by Thursday. I believe Royal Mail still have backlogs. Even if you sent it signed for delivery it will be signed for by someone from Royal Mail and is likely to be some where in the sorting office building. It's not classed as arriving with DWP until it's been added to the computer and even in normal times it can take a couple of weeks for this to happen.A decision can still be made at anytime, even though you sent extra evidence. It doesn't mean they will wait for that.0 -

If I do get awarded but think it should be more then at least I’ll know before to know where to go from.Since the DM has my assessment how long till they make a decision normally?0 -
They don't always wait, a decision can be made at anytime. I can't tell you how long it will be i'm afraid. It's up to about 12 weeks once the report was returned.

Hi, I’m new here.I am very worried about my claim. I had my assessment last Friday. The assessor was very nice not that it made it easier. We’ll I suppose it did. She was also talking to me about my condition and at one point she said I could have autism, as it is what she has and we’re displaying similar traits. She kept referring to it throughout as I spoke more of my condition.I don’t know if this was good or bad.I still haven’t heard anything even to say that they haven’t got my report.0

A decision can take up to 12 weeks from DWP receiving the assessment report. Sometimes the assessment report can be delayed for audit before being returned to DWP.0 -
@Coolcar98 dude they don't text you about report.... What it is text they have your claim then it processing claim then they say you have be award pip then later send letter how much you get etc but if they say you have autism just chill let them think what they like it their problem 😂😂 safe you get it mate... Qasimo said:@Coolcar98 dude they don't text you about report....That's not correct. DWP do send text messages to say they've received the report, if they have a mobile contact number for you. There could be delays due to audit.Qasimo said:keep in mind you got award for autism cause you need help for what ever your need .. safe
PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis and as everyone is affected differently having ASD doesn't automatically entitle anyone to PIP.It seems like Coolcar98 hasn't had a confirmed diagnosis of ASD and only has the assessors word, which doesn't really mean anything.1 -
