Pip text saying they haven't yet made a decision. Anyone else had this?

Your PIP will not end, it will continue until a decision is made on your review. There's many other threads related to the same thing and there's lots of other members in the same boat as you are. There's extremely long delays with PIP review decisions and some are waiting as long as 18 months.

I understand that, but it seems they don't care about the stress that many people go through waiting to hear. They could provide more communication. I know they have a backlog but they should provide more communication to put people at ease.

They are sending texts which is a lot more than they used to do. Even if they did send updates once a month for example, people will still be stressed so i don't think it's going to make any difference and i can't see it putting anyone at ease.

It's a standard text and there's no timescales after this text. Timescales once the report was returned is up to about 12 weeks.

I used to collect china dolls! I get that "they can freak you out but you love them anyway" feeling. We have this great thread called KaleidoScope: Our own gallery for members art work, crafts and photographs. I think you'd really like it

No, you can be awarded either or both part of PIP. The daily living and mobility are added up separately.

Yes you could, the same as you could be awarded just the mobility part and no daily living. You could also be awarded both parts.

I'm just waiting on my appeal as some of the things the assessor have wrote r untrue. Hopefully dwp have until 5th May to respond

I was reading yours and its disgusting . I applied back in 2016 and was refused , the assessor said I was well nourished (she meant fat) yes at that time I was a little over weight with my anxiety and was comfort eating . Then she said I had a French manicure , I do not have chemicals on my or near my body due to my phobia of side effects , She said i was clean and turned out well . I needed 2 points on each to get both , I applied for the MR and was turned down , never took it any further as my anxiety and panic sky rocketted and I couldn't cope with it . 
I recently had womb cancer and had a hysterectomy in Jan, they said there is a small risk of it returning and offered me brachytherapy , but i am too frightened to have it in fear of it causing more cancer , the gyno said the tumour was a tiny tiny tumour and there is only a small risk of it coming back .
I have to live this now and its causing me more anxiety than ever and my confidence is no nil , I have agoraphobia , only go out with my husband and can't face people. 
I will have to appeal if they turn me down and my case worker at MacMillan said he will take it to tribunal should it get that far . 
The phone call was sneaky in my opinion , out of the blue and I feel they try to catch you out , I have had pain in my left side since the cancer started last August and I can neither sit nor stand for being in pain so need to lie down most of the time , she asked me this on the call and i said I have to lie down , she asked me how long this pain has been there and I said from last August , I am not finished with my treatment, because of it being a high risk tumour I am at the hospital every three months for check ups , and this is for the next five years . Even when i have got past the five years cancer free I won't be discharged as I can contact them should any issues arise. It's all stress and I honestly really need this benefit , we are financially broke, haven't paid the mortgage for six months , we are living off £400 a month ,my husband is self employed and covid ruined the business as we had to close because it was none essential, when he finally got it making something I got cancer and had a break down so he had to close it again to take care of me , and I am afraid to be alone in case I die , I turned down the biopsy in September in fear of dying , but then I was having so much pain and bleeding i went for it and they did it under anaesthetic , then the diagnosis in December and then everything else . I'm used to waiting , but i am sick of it , its causing me so much anxiety on top of the risk of losing the house as we can't pay and the interest rise makes it even more difficult to pay , they want £800 a month lol . Perhaps we need to look for a tent to live in , 

It's disgusting my mental health is terrible due to not being able to walk properly been out of the house only for urgent appointments otherwise been in house don't have many friends and u have ro refer urself to my wellbeing for 5 appointments then ur on your own again. Also spoke with nurse at gps told her I was thinking of hurting myself and she never said or did anything. Pip said I use crutches when I don't have any can't walk with the aircast cos my foot swells so bad and the pain is unbearable but they think that's ok and also OK to drive a manual car with a boot and crutches considering I haven't drove since my op over a year ago and hubby takes my car to work. I sometimes only eat one meal a day others I can go for 2 weeks or more without eating and say I don't have a eating disorder.

I have one ok gp she is concerned about my mental health and I also had 3 tumors removed from my foot in April last year and have now got rare complications from it including complex regional pain syndrome, bone marrow odema, one foot different colour and freezing cold all the time, nerve damage to 3 of my toes, 3 fractures in my toes and foot. Have to wait till hubby is home to get in and out of the bath as I find it hard to let my grownup kids help me as I'm also conscious of my body its horrible. I cry everyday my work colleagues who I thought were friends have enquired how I'm doing in over a year just so lonely  and yeah like u won't go out anywhere I struggle to walk up and down the steps let alone anywhere else

wow that's ages ,I got the same message again today , frustrating .

Happyfella is waiting for a decision on a review i believe. There's currently huge backlogs for reviews so 7 months really isn't that long in comparison to many other members. We have some that are still waiting 18 months after returning their review forms.

Timescales for new claims a much less and some are having a decision well within 12 weeks.

For reviews, any existing award will continue until a decision is made on the review. I'm not saying it's right that the delays are ok because it's not. However, with so many new claims being started since Covid, this has caused delays with reviews because they are concentrating on new claims and have been for quite some time.

No, not everyone. The text you had is a standard text and doesn’t mean anything other than what it says.

There’s no timescales. It’s up to 12 weeks after the report was returned.
