Hi
Just wondering if others have had an energy rebate from their local councils?
I appreciate that every council will do things differently but just asking as I am on benefits and as per Martin Lewis's show-this rebate is for everyone who pays energy bills. Would like to know if others in my situation have received anything yet.
Many thanks
Helen

If you pay CT by direct debit most Council will have issued a payment to you. Ifyu don’tyouwill have to apply. You need to look on the website of your own local authority to see how they are managing this.
The payment for energy bill payers is a £400 credit to be applied to electricity bills later in the year.0 -
The £150 rebate from Local Authorities isn't for everyone that pays energy bills. It's for household that are in band A-D. Yes, i received mine quite a few weeks ago by payment straight into my bank. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/council-tax-rebate-factsheetThe £400 energy grant will be paid to all households over a period of 6 months from October. It will automatically be added to your energy account. If you have pre payment meters then it will either be paid through voucher or be added to your meter. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61592496

Hi Everyone.
Many thanks for your responses.
Forget to mention that I am in qualifying property. Band C.
I will contact my local council via their website.
Thanks again

If you pay by direct debit then it will automatically be paid to you. Not everyone has received it yet. If you don't pay by direct debit then you'll need to contact them.

I would be interested to know if Park Home residents may qualify for the £400 as we pay the Park Home owner quarterly for the electricity he reads from our meters. He decides upon the electricity supplier, which varies, trying to get the best deal for us, but we have no choice in this. So, are Park Home owners eligible?
