We often dwell on the negative but sometimes it’s nice to think about the things which makes us happy.
Personally I find interacting with family or friends makes me the happiest, mind you Elton mess comes a close second!
How about you, What releases those endorphins for you?

Seeing my grandchildren playing nice together.
Choosing my plants in the winter for what i will have in my garden the following year.
I love Christmas and family get togethers.1 -
It varies for me, but a good example is usually some dramatic live sport

I know one thing which I find makes me happy and that’s watching sparrows all trying to get into a plant pot base to bathe! Makes me laugh and they are so cutesome.0

Young creatures are usually very cute, even little crocodiles, though frankly I don’t like the larger ones one bit, see what I did there?! 🐊2

Knowing all my kids grandkids are OK.1

Going on holiday that first day laying in the sun with a cocktail by my side then sitting in a restaurant on the front watching the world go by eating a seafood dish1

I was almost there too @janer1967 🙂0

Good question @leeCal! 😁 The beach is my happy place and nothing beats sitting on the sand and listening to the waves 🌊
A interesting conversation with a friend always cheers me up! Also, watching a favourite film and listening to music gives me happiness 😊1 -
The sight of a friend arriving to take me to a local pub. This followed by going to a local country pub and enjoying two pints of real ale. AAHH!!3

I can easily imagine a cold pint of real ale, condensation an all! 🍺

One of the things that I have noticed happening too much is the lack of consideration that young people are now showing. I and a friend have both given money to young relatives who have never acknowledged the gift by email, telephone or a letter. I was always made to write a letter by my parents and I think the lack of courtesy is a sad reflection on both the parents and children of to-day. Has anybody else had the same experience?1
-
Oh yes @Maurice123 we have had good chats about the youth of today - not all thankfully but there does seem to be a lot less consideration/respect.0

People will believe what they want to believe, but I will just balance this out by saying most of the rude people I have come across have been elderly.
However something I have noticed about the youth is how much litter they leave. They are meant to be the ones preaching to us about climate change and keeping the planet clean then they just leave plastic all over the parks. Not all of them I know but seems like a lot of them!!!1 -
I must add that I have two very polite young girls next door (aged 9 & 14). They have acknowledged gifts at Christmas and brought me the odd cake or pheasant already cooked for my dinner. I do not want to be sweeping but it does seem to be a trend that politeness is being thought to be pointless by many young people. I wonder how they will feel when they grow old and get ignored by a new generation.0

@66Mustang Absolutely true. Nobody can bear to walk about without a bottle of water in their hand and once finished. No a waste bin is too much trouble but they will look sometimes to check nobody is watching them throw it away. Not all fortunately. Why bottled water. Nowadays water from the tap in most places is very good. Does anybody remember the Fools and Horses occasion when Del started filling water bottles from his tap and selling them as Peckham water. And then to cap it all Coco Cola started doing the same thing until they were found out.1

I was thinking of selling my tap water once but ...I didn’t want to flood the market. 🤣3
