Looking to move out at some point

Hi all,

I'm new here and explain a bit about me in the introduction thread I created. To cut a long story short 32 years old and a wheelchair user suffering a slight setback due to unconditioned muscles seeking to move house in a few years to a major city.

Now, I've been told when I move out my budget goes up, I've also looked at a national provider of live-in care and the rates look cheap, which means I'd have my care needs looked after and I could move.

Sounds like a plan right? Any tips, advice?

Hi @wandering_chris. Welcome to Scope’s forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you today?

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you want to move out at some point but are a little bit concerned and looking for some tips and/or advice.

Would you like to tell us more about the tips and/or advice you are looking for today? We hear that moving out is a confusing and potentially stressful time but not sure if there’s anything, in particular, you are hoping to receive tips and/or advice with.

It sounds really positive that you have been told when you move out your budget goes up, the live-in care rates look cheap, you would have your care needs looking after and you could move  :)

I'm just getting over the rona, but I've been told by someone that without Mum looking after me my budget would go up, which I'm sure it would. However, what'd really help is to hear the stories of others like me who've moved house. - Chris

Try to apply directly for a supported living property in your area. Or investigate some local cheap houses.
