Text from PIP saying I've been awarded and letter will follow. How long is the wait for the letter?

Evening, has anybody else received a text telling them they have been awarded PIP and the letter will follow, if you have how long did you wait for the letter .

    Yes, quite a few people here. This seems to be a new thing that DWP have recently been doing. If it's a first time claim and you aren't transferring from DLA then any money owed is usually received in your bank first. Shortly after you'll receive the decision letter.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
    If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

    Welcome to the community @Frenchy78 :) As poppy123456 has explained, we've had a few members mention this. If you take a look through the PIP category, you'll be able to find some similar posts to yours. 

    It's difficult to say exactly how long it'll be, as it can vary, but I hope it's not too long until you receive your award and payment! Please do keep us updated.
