Hi,
Sadly i'm not in this position but on Universal Credit I know you are allowed a maximum of £16k in savings. If this is a joint application does it remain at £16k or is it £16k each?
If anyone would like to give me the £32k so we can get a definitive answer i'm more than happy to try.
Cheers,
Daniel

Hi @Daniel_2021 - good to hear from you. I hope you're keeping well. Pleased your sense of humour is intact. As far as UC goes, the govt. website unfortunately says,'To claim Universal Credit as a couple, both you and your partner must: not have joint savings or capital over £16,000.' Please see: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/universal-credit-and-couples-an-introduction/universal-credit-further-information-for-couples

For all means tested benefits couples are always assessed on their joint circumstances.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the answers.
I noticed everyone side stepped the £32k invitation.
@chiarieds thanks, I do check in from time to time but things are still very difficult. If I didn't laugh about things I don't know what i'd do. I hope you are well -
Sorry things are still very difficult @Daniel_2021 - I'm just hoping to get £400 (as a Park Home owner I'm not eligible for the £400 energy grant).....we'll both have to set our sights lower it seems!Thank you for asking; I'm not so bad. Hope things may improve for you.
