Hi so my son is at college less than 21 hours a week and looks after our disabled neice. He’s 17. My sister has asked him to be her carer can he apply for carers allowance for her even though I still get tax credits for him as he’s in higher education. Will it affect my benefits for him thanks

If you're still claiming tax credits for him then his college course will be classed as full time education. This means that he won't be able to claim for carers allowance. Even if it were possible your benefits for him would end if he did claim it. https://www.gov.uk/carers-allowance/eligibility
