Hi, i applied for PIP last November, i have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis which is becoming increasing worse. This was refused on the grounds that i still work, and do not take strong pain killers. I asked them to look at my application again stating that I now hybrid work, (at home or in the office when I am able to), and that on the advise of my doctor I am trying to manage my pain with blockers rather than pain killers, as in years to come the pain killers would have less chance of working, also I don't want to become addicted to them. this has also just been refused. Any advise on when i can next apply and how to justify my medication, along with the fact that i want to continue working for as long as i possibly can.

PIP isn't about your ability to work, although if the work you do contradicts the reasons why you're claiming then yes it can go against you.The medication reason is just a classic copy and paste reason for refusal. Scoring enough of points for an award has nothing at all do with not taking any medication. It's not unusual for the MR decision not to change as only about 36% of them do. If the MR decision was less than 13 months ago then i would advise you to take it to Tribunal. There's no timescales how long you need to wait to reapply but reapplying again using the same evidence you previously used is likely going to see another refusal. So you'll be stuck constantly going round in circles.Do be aware though that any worsening of condition after the assessment took place will not be taken into consideration. There's information here regarding Tribunals. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/appeals/apply-to-tribunal/I'd also advise you to get expert advice from an agency near you, start here. https://advicelocal.uk/

Best route to take would be to request the Tribunal rather than to reapply.0
