Pip assessment

Hello everyone.
I have a question regarding pip assessment and experience.
I had my assessment on Monday 4th July and asked for a record copy from assessment.
My assessment was very stressful and emotional that much that I couldn't stop cry all the way. I'm worried because any time I wanted to explain something, assesor was keep saying we will have time later for this which we never had. My assesor was a paramedic and I just wondering if any of yous had a paramedic assesor as well? Yous had bad or good experience?
I will add that I have serve mental health issues and I was feeling he never understand fully my issues unfortunately. Since my assessment can't sleep and I feel more stressed than before.

Hello @pinja and welcome to the community, well done for reaching out with your question today.
I'm sorry to hear you've had a stressful assessment, it's not an easy thing to go through. When I was assessed for PIP I think my assessor was a nurse. I'm not sure it was good or bad, as it always feels strange when someone we don't know asks so many questions.
I'm also sorry to read this has been impacting on your sleep, have you spoken to your GP about it, or spoken to anyone involved in managing your mental health?
I'd definitely advise taking time to look after your mental health, Mind has some tips on how to manage stress and anxiety. Do you have anything in particular you like to do to relax?
I know that some people find it helpful to see a report of their assessment, and for others it adds to their stress. I think the best, and only, thing you can do at the moment is to try and focus on other things to help pass the time until a decision is made.
You've done everything you need to do, but please reach out for support when you need to. If you feel we've missed anything let us know, and keep us up to date with how you get on.
