PIP Online Application form. BE AWARE!

worried33 No, it's not limited characters. When you being the form it tells you can save and come back any time, but in fact if you save (and you are only half-way through answering) when you come back it has moved you on to the next question, and you can't go back to the answer you were half-way through. It's maddening. So use an old-school postal version if possible is my advice.

Good evening, I applied online in March this year in London from a phone. I don't write well in English and I used google translator. In 6 hours I filled out the form. It was very easy. I would read the question and exit. I would translate the answer, copy it into my phone, enter again and attach it. I went back to the beginning to add more meds. I sent proof that I could download online and photos from the NHS app. I did the ID check in 2 minutes. In the end I was able to download the whole form to my phone. With 2 days before the evaluation, I entered the account and added other evidence. At the evaluation, these were discussed, so he had seen them. If I sent them by post, they would not arrive on time. The online application was very good. Now I'm waiting for the decision. I don't understand why you can't see online the whole journey. Why do you have to call and ask for a copy of the report when it would be much easier to log in and request online. Why doesn't it appear in the account when it is taken a decision. Everything would be much easier.

Sinica, it looks like you went about it the right way, by writing your answers beforehand and then pasting them onto the form. But it doesn't tell you that is what you should do!! Many people (like me) will try to answer questions on the online form, then when they realise their anwer is oncomplete, find that they can't revisit what they wrote. It's a ridiculous design because people are dealing with very complex issues and will need to edit and change their answers to ensure they are correct.
As for 'not seeing the whole system' - it's the UK!! Particularly in government, government agencies, local government, the NHS - anything 'public' - the online systems are, at best, inadequate and at worst completely useless. The DWP is one of the worst offenders. And that's one of the reasons that you can never get through on the phone - because everyone is driven off-line and has to call them because their online systems are rubbish. But do they add more phone operatives? Of course not - that would cost too much money. So you get 'all our operatives are busy at present….' for hours and hours. It has been like that for more than 20 years.
By contrast the independent PIP assessment service people are really, really good if you have queries. They answer the phone quickly, they are polite, sympathetic and helpful.

Like editing the word 'oncomplete' 🤣. This system is just as bad!!! 😉
