Universal credit & Child disability payment

Hi everyone! I applied for Scottish child disability payments for my son in March 2022. I got a letter today with an award of low rate care for him and backdated monies owed from March till 7th July when he was awarded. I made a change in my online journal of universal credit and reported the child disability payments being awarded on the 7th July 2022. I had a message pop up on screen asking me to call them within 5 days to explain why I was reporting the change so late or I may face being overpaid! I'm sorry but I didn't get the letter till today. I also left a message on my journal stating he was awarded on the 7th July 2022, and received the letter today 11th July 2022. Is there anything else I can do, or have I done everything I should have done?

These messages follow a standard format. The decision will not result in an overpayment of UC. Nonetheless if you have been asked to ring them you need to do so.
You should now get a child disability element added to your UC and they should backdate it to the date the SCDP starts from.1 -
Thank you! It's been with a decision maker for a week now, will see if they award me the child disability element of uc.0
