Hello I'm wondering if you can clarify my situation ...
I have just been judged after an appeal to be put in the limited capability for work and I'm not sure what this actually means as up to this date I have been on ESA from 08/06/2019 until 08/06/2020 and then to ordinary Universal Credit.
The original decision was made 20/08/2021 for my assignment to work and I'm not sure if I get extra money and backdated or no extra money but not having to look for work.. Please can anyone help answer my questions.

If the decision was LImited Capability for work (LCW) then you will not receive any extra money. There's only extra money if you were found to have Limited Capability For work related Activity. (LCWRA) Please re-check the decision letter to see exactly what it says.0

Thanks Poppy 123456
The decision says I have Limited capability for work and Work related activity so I don't know which one I'm in 🤔0 -
That will be LCWRA so you will receive extra money, which is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition.Did your ESA end because you exceeded the 52 week limit? When the original decision was made on 20/08/2021 was that from a first work capability assessment?0

You're in LCWRA @gab22 that means you'll be getting extra money.
Limited capability for work-related activity element (LCWRA) £354.28 per month
Does that help?0 -
WOW that's amazing... Thank you so much helping me0

Does this get backdated as the original decision was 20/08/2021 and this appeal has taken until 07/07/2022 to be set aside???
I'm sorry to ask all these questions but I've worked all of my life until November 2019 so I have no clue about any of this 🤷0 -

My ESA was exceeded the 52 week limit but I have put in fit notes from November 2019 when I first sustained my injury but didn't claim ESA straight away as I had full pay for 6 months so I started claiming in June 2020 which ended in June 20210
-
I forgot to add that this was a second assignment as I had one after a few weeks of claiming ESA and the decision was deferred until I had another assignment in June 2021which was very confusing0
-
Then your ESA claim should be reinstated and you'll be placed into the Support Group. Extra money will be owed from the 14th week of that claim (£117.60/week) from April 2022. Slightly less before April but can't remember exactly what it was. Then there's the added confusion with the UC claim, which is very complicated and my brain isn't working properly this evening, it's been a long day with not much sleep that past couple of nights. Hopefully someone will see this and advise you further on exactly what money is paid and from when.1

Thank you Poppy 123456 ... I know it's all so confusing to me as well I can't make head nor tail of it myself...
I know what you mean about lack of sleep it really fries your brain...
Take care and thank you again you've already been a great help 👍👍1
