Why?

What is the point of this letter? It means nothing! The last message I got from the DWP said “We have not yet made a decision on your claim. We will write to you when we have made a decision.” 

This isn’t a decision though. So they lied. This is just pointless, unnecessary, junk mail. :(

    Completely agree. All is does is cause more unwanted anxiety because a decision can still take up to 12 weeks.

    The reason for the new text updates is to stop people from calling. I think it’s pointless in December when I get a letter saying ‘We’re sending you a £10 Christmas Bonus’ and I get the letter after it’s all over. The fees to send it and send the payment must surely be getting closer and closer to £10 every year.
