PIP award advice needed

HI, 3 months ago, i was awarded PIP at the standard rate for daily living, no award for mobility. My problem is finding work that i can sustain going forward, as i have degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and left leg weakness, which means i cant bend too much, lift weight, etc. i am having difficulty finding work that i can do with my condition. Is there anything i can claim along side PIP, or any help finding work with my disability. i cannot get UC, because my wife works.
I think it is too late for me to appeal my PIP decision at this point, but is it worth telling PIP about my problem finding suitable work, and sending a Doctors letter. Would this make a difference to my award. I need help in to work, or award help, because my wife's wage is not enough to cover everything, and we have a mortgage.
Any advice please, would be most welcome.

PIP has nothing to do with your ability to work or not. People claim PIP and work. Therefore sending DWP details of difficulties finding work isn't going to help increase your award. You say you're not entitled to UC have you used a benefits calculator? You will need to put in both of your details because entitlement will depend on your joint circumstances. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator/Intro/Home?cid=63f534b3-7165-44d8-a375-c5848a6c9b59Unfortunately entitlement to means testedt benefits doesn't take into consideration the bills you have to pay.Have you work at all during the past 2 years? If you have and you've paid the correct amount of NI contributions in tax years Apeil 2019 to March 2021 then you can claim New style ESA. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-style-employment-and-support-allowance#eligibility

hi @Wookie66 - you can do a Mandatory Reconsideration if it's within 13 months since you got your PIP decision, tho you have to show good reason why it's a late appeal.Unfortunately, as far as your PIP award goes, the DWP won't be interested in your problems finding suitable work.Scope has some resources in finding work which you may find helpful: https://www.scope.org.uk/employment-services/And some general info here: https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/finding-jobs/You could also look into ESA if you have sufficient National Insurance contributions. See the following for details: https://www.gov.uk/employment-support-allowance/eligibilityHowever, if you work whilst claiming ESA, only work up to 16 hours a week is permitted, & earnings of no more than £152 a week. You must make sure it's less than 16 hours, rather than up to 16 hours.
