    I have trouble with my weight due to another medical condition I have which makes its difficult for me to lose weight and keep it off.

    That's tough, sorry to hear that.  I hope that it doesn't make your diabetes harder to manage.  It might work out that managing your diabetes is good for your other conditions, you never know!  Good luck though, I've found the Diabetes UK advice good and community not so good but your mileage may vary!
