Hi, my name is Diane!

DelaneysWorld Community member Posts: 1 Listener

I am Diane. I have severe adhd and chronic fatigue. Also have some unknown immune issue that is being investigated.

I have struggled with fatigue since I was 17, so around 24 years now but wasn't diagnosed with CFS until 2019 when it got to the stage I was bed bound for 3 months then house bound for almost a year.

I also have problems with my legs, which get worse when the fatigue is bad, have loss of sensation in right leg and use crutches/wheelchair to get about.

Currently waiting to see rheumatology about joint issues and pain, which comes and goes.

I am a single mum with 3 kids, 16,15 and 11. This summer has been pretty rubbish as I haven't managed to do much at all. Thankfully they're all older and more or less happy out and about with friends apart from my youngest who is autistic and prefers to spent time drawing and listening to music.

Nice to meet you all!

Hello @DelaneysWorld and welcome to the online community, it's lovely to see you join us and thank you for telling us a bit about yourself.

How do you feel you are managing with your conditions at the moment? Do you feel you have enough support in place?

Sorry to hear you have had a bad summer so far, hopefully it improves for you. It's good that your kids appear to be enjoying themselves though, that must make you happy.

This is a very supportive and welcoming site to be a part of so I’m hopeful that you’ll find it to be a positive outlet. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 I have included below a few of the pages I’d recommend having a look through to get used to things:

    • The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
    • The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
    • The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community

If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.
