My wife has just retired and receives full pension. I am ten years younger and receive full pip. Is my wife entitled to pension credit and if so how much and how does she apply

Pension credit is means tested, so she will not be able to claim this for herself. You are both known as a mixed aged couple (MAC) therefore you are not able to claim Pension Credit. The rules for mixed aged couples changed in 2019.Do you claim an other benefits other than PIP? If you don't then it will be Universal Credit you will both need to claim. Whether there's any entitlement will depend on your joint circumstances. Her state pension will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. The same applies if she receives any other pensions. If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you'll be excluded from claiming.Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator/Intro/Home?cid=8f60d2b6-a31b-4d31-94d7-f9f8945775d6
