PIP Tribunal Adjourned Due to Technical Problem

Hi,
After nearly a year, I have just had my tribunal hearing via telephone even though I asked for a face to face one - To my horror, I spent just under an hour been drilled by a doctor about all my mental and physical problems to then discover the other party had been cut off so couldn't hear anything I answered so after 3 or 4 attempts the judge said the only thing he could do was adjourn and arrange a new hearing.
AS these are recorded, could the person from the DWP just listen back to the recorded conversation then continue?? The judge just said they would arrange another hearing in a couple of months, so I wondering if I should just let them decide with what they have on paper and my hour on tape as I dont think I could go through all this again!
Any help / advice please?

Any help / advice please? No, because it doesn't work like that. As there were techincal issues they had no other option but to adjorn the hearing.Paper based decisions for Tribunal have an extremely low success rate of between 5-8% so it's in your best interests to attend the next hearing. For the next one, it will be a different panel.0 -
Thanks for the reply, I just thought as my doctor's session was recorded and heard in front of as judge, they could use that as evidence on my behalf so I didnt have to go through it all again for the next hearing.0

I'm sorry to hear what happened at your tribunal @djslapper that really is frustrating!
One thing you can take away is that what happened wasn't down to you at all, as annoying as it is, it's just one of those things.
Have you had any update on when your Tribunal has been adjourned until? It's disheartening to think that there might be a while to wait, with all the anxiety that brings, so if you need to reach out for any reason, the community is here for youIf you'd like to have a look around the rest of the forum, you're welcome to do so!
