When you report a health condition part of the rules are that you need to continue to send the fit notes without any gaps. If don't do this then it can affect when the extra money is paid from. You can try a backdated fit note and it will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision but don't hold out your hopes because a refusal is likely.

There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4 month after you reported your health condition because you didn't continue to send the fit notes it's affected your claim. If they have awarded the LCWRA element from July, then it will be paid from either November or December.

When you say you didn't put your claim in till June, are you talking about the UC50 form? If so then that's not when the waiting period starts from.If you started sending fit notes in April and there were no gaps in those fit notes, if you're found to have LCWRA then the waiting period starts from when you sent your first fit note. Therefore your waiting period would be approx April - July and the LCWRA element will be paid from either Aug or September, depending on what date exactly you reported your health condition/sent fit note and the dates of your assessment periods, or when you usually receive your payment each month.0
