Hi guys I’m after some advice, my situation is I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the start of March, I had the Whipple procedure in mid March has complications after surgery. & then I started chemotherapy at the start of June, I also filled the pip application in 3rd June and submitted it on line, my question is since filling in the form my situation has got a lot worse since starting chemotherapy , so now some of descriptors & questions that I would not of got points for or low points should now be a lot higher, can I fill in another form as things have changed & add it as evidence to my original form or can I wright a letter and send it as evidence of how it’s affecting me living, I’m also now taking 7 different medications a day & over 35 tablets , Iv took photos of the boxes of mediation with the pharmacy level on , but should I ad a list or & a letter on how I take them & the problems I have, i add all the info for extra evidence online , I also add stuff every week when I get my weekly oncologist appointment & chemotherapy appointment, any help & advice is much appreciated, sorry for the long post

You can't fill in a new form but you can simply write to PIP with additional information. If you want to make comments about particular activities then make that clear.
Information about appointments is not relevant.
If you have additional clinic letters that provide additional information you can send copies.0 -
thanks for your reply, are chemotherapy appointments classed as medication & should I send them as it’s proof of treatment,0

I hope that calcotti has been able to clear that up for you @pippyg1 Please do let us know if you need any further information or advice.
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. How are you finding the chemotherapy?
Are you receiving enough support to help you navigate your diagnosis, and the treatment?0 -
Hi, I’m doing ok , I’m only 44 so it was a massive shock & the statistics & prognosis for this cancer is awful, but I’m fighting on , the surgery is brutal & then to add the chemo while your still trying to recover it tough , but Iv got to do it and give it my best shot for my wife & kids , the financial side is hard as Iv worked from the age of 16 & to now have no income and not much that I can claim is just adding to the stress of the disease, but thanks for support0

For anything else it would be UC but you cannot claim if you have more than £16,000 of capital (excluding any house you live in) and whether or not there is any entitlement will also depend on your partner’s income too. You can use a benefits calculator to check.
if you claim ESA and UC the ESA will be deducted from the UC.
