Hi I have recieved a letter this morning from my appeal at the tribunal and have been awarded with LCWRA.
I handed in my first sick note in Feb 2021.
I understand any back payment wont be paid for the first 3 months of me submitting sick notes? Is this correct?
My assessement was first done on 09/02/2022 where DWP said I was fit to work and therefore I went to a mandatory reconsideration and then I lodged an appeal.
Im just a bit confused when it says at the bottom of my tirbunal letter that- The payments should be at the level and for time period in the decision notice.
Can someone tell where the decision notice should be?
Also do UC now write to me to sort all payments out? etc.
Thanks in advance
Caz

There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you first reported your health condition, providing you sent a fit note and continued to send the fit notes without any gaps until the original decision was made.Without knowing the exact date you reported your health condition and the dates of your assessment periods (or when you usually receive your money each month) it's impossible to tell you when it's paid from exactly.Based on the information you gave it will be paid from either June or July 2021. It can take up to 8 weeks to put your award into payment and sometimes a little longer to pay any money that's owed.1
