A poem called Tightening our purses and wallets
We have been left at the back of the cue again 
With the energy and gas price hikes.
This will leave our elderly people and disabled people will be scared to turn on the lights on winter nights we have to draw curtains as soon we start seeing the shadows of the street lights reflecting through our windows.
Some people are not going able to keep themselves warm by eating and turning on our central heating.
I wish those responsible for these energy and gas price hikes could spend a day with those it really affects in their day-to-day living.
We are penny-pinching in so many areas just keep our heads above the water.
Please let our voices be heard before late there are irreversible consequences that will affect us and the next generations.
